Dear Friends,
Hello, hello! I hope you all are well and enjoying the first days of Spring.
I am on holiday with friends and family for our children’s Spring Break. We spent 17 hours traveling to get to the breathtaking island of Turks and Caicos including a quick stop to Miami to have brunch with a Spaniard friend who is living in Florida at the moment.
Now that we are here, I am going to lean into this time to recharge my mind, body, and spirit by disconnecting from the relentless disquiet that our modern lives perpetuate.
I am going to trust that nothing in my day to day life will fall apart by me stepping away. That I will not let anyone down. I will not drop any crystal glass balls.
These concerns are the pressures I, and we, so often levy on ourselves. But for the next two weeks I am going to let them fall by the wayside.
To do that, I will remind myself that I need time to rest, slow down, and reflect in order to center, ground, and reconsider. We all do. Pausing is not a luxury to feel guilty for. It’s a requisite to maintain our health, and while it will look different in how it is carried out for each of us, it is a requirement, nonetheless, for our wellbeing.
So I wish you adieu while I reset. I will be back with renewed energy and a fresh perspective on Sunday, April 7th.
With love and warmth plus gratitude always,
WRW
