So true and therefore so much better to be really mindful of what we do repeatedly before we ingrain a habit that is not serving us. Being present in our actions and choices is a key I believe.
I should not listen to the current political news as much as I do. However it’s hard not knowing what is happening. Things are so different than preceding decades and I am concerned what is going to happen to our country even though I really can’t do anything about it.
One thought…You can exercise your agency by reaching out to your legislators while also guarding your peace by predetermining how much time you spend each day taking in the news.
I am stringing nights together of banishing my phone to another room at night. I must! I can’t wake up tired anymore, due to wasting time I will never get back scrolling stuff that is so unnecessary, when I need to be sleeping instead.
If the phone at night is a thing for you too, I am happy to be each other’s accountability partner. ;-)
right off the bat, I go to alcohol consumption. I really don’t have to drink the whole bottle of wine! 🍷 when I’m working, no problem when I am home, it should be so much easier to control, but I’ll find it harder because I am home. Work more????? Hmmm
To be fair…Zoe Kravitz has some gorgeous clothes. :)
You bring up an interesting point. I have so many things that could be improved if I stopped doing one thing or started doing another. I will have to ponder this!
I think it should be getting dressed daily. I work from home for the most part and realized this past week that I can go for days going from one pair of pjs to the next, and wearing workout clothes when I go to the grocery store or to my clients house (since I am going from a walk or workout…he is a trainer so the outfit is ok). I went to get my haircut today with makeup on and my stylist said “What’s the special occasion?” 😩
I completely agree with the fact that habits are harder to break than make.

Agreed! It’s a tough decision to make, how educated one wants to be on the world’s events these days!

Would be curious where you land on your one current thing.

I love it! I feel so much more whole when I’ve taken a moment to pull myself together. Like I’ve put myself on the map a bit.
