I found that your first name means "hope, dream, ambition." I think you reflect all three wonderful qualities.

Love this. I’m named after a song, my Mum had picked it out well before I was born….she loved Nat King Cole’s voice - not hard to figure out. She was on her own when she had me my Dad was away on a military posting. x

I love knowing that tidbit about you Lisa. Was it Nat's song Mona Lisa? Such an amazing artist he was!

It can be exciting to learn the origins of family names through genealogy. Your beautifully written piece reminded me of names that were repeatedly used by my ancestors. It’s a way of holding hands through time.

As always, it was a very interesting and informative piece. Thank you for all the information you shared with us. I love your daughter's and son's name very much, it has a very beautiful meaning , and what you said really captured our personality from our name and how beautiful it was when you said that everyone who comes into this world chooses their own name. I love your nick name little missy.

I’m also named after my grandmother and my middle name is my mom’s name. I doubt any thought was put into naming me other than that (like, what the origins of those names are), but I love the idea of carrying the two of them with me as I travel through this life. Your piece is making me think of the specific character traits I share with each of them and how their legacy carries on in me and how I traverse the world. Thank you for the reminder 💜.

Look what I found my dear...Your first name and that of your grandmother's is of Irish and Gaelic origin, and it means “bright, shining one” or “torch of light.” Your name is your nature! And how interesting that you and my son share so much of the same innate soul force. I love that!!!

I remember when you were considering names for your Children. You did put a lot of thought and research into their names and you chose well.

I don’t think that much thought went into my name. By time they got to me, I think they were out of names! All the family names had already been taken. My nickname was porky. Yes, I was! Little Missy is so much better.
