This piece is a beautiful reminder of the importance of creating, maintaining and living every day with these key values in mind ... thank you. Coincidentally, one of my most vivid memories as a child was having a "meltdown" at the end of a Mr. Rogers episode when I was about 4. I must have needed a nap ... haha ...but seriously, I never wanted his show to end. To this day, every time I write the word "friend," I think of his song. "F-R-I-E-N-D special, you are my friend ... you're special to me. There isn't any one like you, like you... my friend ... I like you. In the daytime, in the nighttime ... any time you feel is the right time ...". I could go on - but you get the point. I sing the song to myself every single time I write out that word. His simple messaging was critical to my development as an empathetic, compassionate human. Oh how my mom could've benefited from a VCR, a DVD or my God ... Mr. Rogers On Demand!
Beautiful like always. I love your idea about the list of values and it is very helpful and such a good reminder.
While I didn’t watch Mr. Rogers, I do LOVE your list of values for your family! Really beautiful!!!
Mr Roger’s is truly missed. Our Mr Roger’s was Captain Kangaroo, although much simpler.
