Check out these articles/resources below that goes into Special Time (the why's and how's) more in depth. It truly works when you do it consistently, even once a week for a slightly longer period of time, or every other day for 10 minutes. Just getting it in consistently makes a huge difference. https://www.ahaparenting.com/read/How-To-Special-Time
Oh I love NY! And the Mitzvah Stand made me smile, thank you! So glad you got to spend some one on one together. My trips with my mom are some of my most favorite memories. Being the oldest of 3 with a younger brother and younger sister, my needs often fell by the wayside because I was “old enough” to handle “it” (whatever it was at the time) on my own. Having time where it was just me helped so much. Our trips don’t really happen anymore (marriage and my mom’s health both kind of took over) but we often laugh about the adventures we had. May you and your sweet babies enjoy your trips for many years to come!
I completely thought of you passing the Mitzvah stand. Love how you cherish those trips with your mother as a child. Hope my children look back fondly as well. Sending love.
You both deserve that trip. I am so glad you guys had a great time. I wish I could changed the time, travel back when I was kids that I can have special time with my mom. Thanks for sharing all this beautiful pictures.
Beautifully written and a much needed reminder to make space for more special time with the ones we love. xx
My children and I love love love these times together. Cherished time.
What a great opportunity for your special time. We should all take the time to do that.
Yes! Hopefully we can do this together more often for us old friends too. :-)
